El Organillero
These “organilleros” are from a time before the radio; a peek at Mexico’s history. They would post up in public spaces, and people would pay to listen to their favorite tunes. The instruments work like a player piano where the music is engraved/perforated on a roll. The organillero then spins the crank to get the organ blowing and roll spinning.
CDMX, Mexico
Printed on 100% cotton Moab Entrada Rag Bright fine art paper in Culver City, CA.
Expect 2-3 week processing because I inspect and sign each print (and I might be traveling 😅).
